VetDynamics - Susanne Küker, DVM
From the Coast to the Alps
Bakground
I am Susanne Küker and I am a veterinarian since 2012. Growing up in northern Germany, animals were always part of my daily life. After studying veterinary medicine at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna and working in several countries abroad, my doctoral thesis brought me to the Swiss Alps – to the Vetsuisse Faculty in Bern.
My professional journey has been diverse: I trained my clinical skills in clinical equine medicine in the USA and Canada, spent many years in research, teaching, and wildlife work, and completed a European board certification in veterinary epidemiology (Dipl. ECVPH). These experiences enable me to bring together different perspectives and incorporate them into my practical work.
Values and Goals
For me, the animal’s well-being comes first – and trust is just as important. With VetDynamics, I aim to provide the best possible support and to be a reliable contact for owners.

Mission
Through VetDynamics, I want to support animals in maintaining, improving, or regaining their mobility – with a focus on chiropractic care and the integration of therapeuthic options like acupuncture and leech therapy. A key part of my work is to detect and treat functional issues early, before they lead to long-term damage.
I also see it as part of my professional responsibility to make complex medical information accessible – especially for owners seeking for reliable guidance. My background in science and teaching provides a solid foundation for this work.
Vision
I want to help ensure that integrative veterinary medicine is seen and used as a responsible complement to conventional care – differntiated, and free of unfounded promises.

Equestrian Experience
Bronze riding badge, competition experience
- I find retreat with my Mandoline in a remote mountain hut with no electricity or running water.
- Movement isn’t just theory to me; it’s something I’ve lived for years through dance.
- I’ve worked as an outdoor guide in Scandinavia, have a sailing license – but still no television.
- My personal dream? To raise a Knabstrupper and cross the Alps with it.
- My weaknesses? Thirsty plants – they make me nervous. And liquorice is rarely safe around me.
